A House Joint Resolution concerning
Charles County Courthouse — Salaries of
Non—Elected Employees
FOR the purpose of requesting the Secretary of the State
Department of Personnel to survey and recommend
salaries and pay scales for the non—elected
employees in the Courthouse of Charles County.
WHEREAS, The salaries and pay scales of the
non—elected employees in the Charles County Courthouse
have not kept pace with inflation and Modern
requirements; and
WHEREAS, The salaries and pay scales of state
employees have kept pace with inflation and modern
requirements; and
WHEREAS, A large percentage of other public
employees in Charles County have salaries and pay scales
that are comparable to those of State employees; and
WHEREAS, This inequitable situation results in low
morale and personnel instability on the part of the
non—elected employees in the Charles County Courthouse;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, That
Mr. Henry G. Bosz, Secretary of Personnel, be requested
to survey the salaries and positions of the non—elected
employees of the Courthouse of Charles County and
recommend appropriate salaries and pay scales utilizing
State standards; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution be sent to
Mr. Henry G. Bosz, Secretary of Personnel, 301 W. Preston
Street, Baltimore, Maryland, 21201; and to the Charles
County Commissioners, Court House, LaPlata, Maryland,
20646.
