employee of such person, or of the prospective occupants,
lessees, or tenants, of the dwelling or dwellings in
relation to which the application for a loan is made.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Sections 18(g) and 21(b) (7) be and they are hereby added
to Article 49B - Human Relations Commission, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1972 Replacement Volume and
1973 Supplement) to read as follows:

Article 498 — Human Relations Commission

18.

(G) THE TERM "PHYSICAL OR MENTAL HANDICAP" MEANS
ANY PHYSICAL DISABILITY, INFIRMITY, MALFORMATION OR
DISFIGUREMENT WHICH IS CAUSED BY BODILY INJURY, BIRTH
DEFECT OR ILLNESS INCLUDING EPILEPSY, AND WHICH SHALL
INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO, ANY DEGREE OF PARALYSIS,
AMPUTATION, LACK OF PHYSICAL COORDINATION, BLINDNESS OR
VISUAL IMPAIRMENT, DEAFNESS OR HEARING IMPAIRMENT,
MUTENESS OR SPEECH IMPEDIMENT OR PHYSICAL RELIANCE ON A
SEEING EYE DOG, WHEELCHAIR, OR OTHER REMEDIAL APPLIANCE
OR DEVICE; AND ANY MENTAL IMPAIRMENT OR DEFICIENCY AS,
BUT NOT LIMITED TO, RETARDATION OS SUCH OTHER WHICH MAY
HAVE NECESSITATED REMEDIAL OR SPECIAL EDUCATION AND
RELATED SERVICES.
