INCLUDE THE CARRYING OR TRANSPORTING OF A BICYCLE,
WITHOUT ANY PASSENGER OR RIDER THEREUPON, IN ANY VEHICLE
OR CARTON OR BY ANY OTHER SIMILAR MEANS,

(F)    "BICYCLIST" MEANS ANY INDIVIDUAL OR
INDIVIDUALS OPERATING A BICYCLE.

(G)    "PUBLIC BICYCLE AREA" MEANS ANY HIGHWAY,
SIDEWALK, BICYCLE PATH OR OTHER FACILITY OR AREA
MAINTAINED BY THE STATE OR ANY AGENCY OR POLITICAL
SUBDIVISION THEREOF FOR THE EXCLUSIVE OR NON-EXCLUSIVE
USE OF BICYCLES.

EVERY PERSON OPERATING A BICYCLE UPON ANY PUBLIC
BICYCLE AREA IS SUBJECT TO ALL OF THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
SUBTITLE AND ALSO IS SUBJECT TO ALL OF THE OTHER
PROVISIONS OF THIS ARTICLE EXCEPT INSOFAR AS THE OTHER
PROVISIONS OF THIS ARTICLE ARE SUPERSEDED BY THE SPECIFIC
PROVISION OF THIS SUBTITLE OR BY NECESSARY IMPLICATION
ARE INAPPLICABLE TO BICYCLES OR BICYCLISTS.

NO PERSON MAY OPERATE A BICYCLE NOR SHALL ANY
PASSENGER BE CARRIED UPON A BICYCLE OTHER THAN UPON OR
ASTRIDE A SEAT WHICH IS SECURELY ATTACHED THERETO FOR THE
PURPOSE OF CARRYING A PERSON.

NO PERSON MAY OPERATE A BICYCLE CARRYING ANY
PACKAGE, ARTICLE OR OTHER MATERIAL OR OTHER PERSON WHICH
PREVENTS THE OPERATOR FROM KEEPING BOTH HANDS UPON THE
HANDLE BARS, NOR MAY ANY PACKAGE, ARTICLE OR OTHER
MATERIAL OR PERSON WHICH INTERFERES WITH THE BICYCLISTS
BALANCE OR OBSTRUCTS HIS VISION BE CARRIED, TRANSPORTED
OR OTHERWISE AFFIXED TO A BICYCLE.

18-204.

(A)    BICYCLISTS RIDING ON ANY HIGHWAY WHERE THE
SPEED LIMIT IS IN EXCESS OF 30 M.P.H. OR ON ANY STREET OR
HIGHWAY IN A BUSINESS DISTRICT SHALL RIDE IN SINGLE FILE
IN A STRAIGHT LINE, AND AS NEAR THE RIGHT-HAND EDGE OF
THE ROADWAY AS IS REASONABLY POSSIBLE EXCEPT (I) WHEN
BAKING LEFT-HAND TURNS OR (II) WHEN PASSING A STOPPED OR
SLOWER-MOVING VEHICLE.

(B)    BICYCLISTS RIDING ON ALL OTHER PUBLIC BICYCLE
AREAS MAY NOT RIDE MORE THAN TWO ABREAST.
