(a)    For each brand and grade of commercial
fertilizer and for each soil conditioner distributed in
the state, the annual registration fee is $10 and the
annual inspection fee is 15 cents per ton except.

(1)     For each brand and grade of commercial
fertilizer and each soil conditioner distributed in
packages of [ten] 10 pounds or less, the annual
registration fee is $25, notwithstanding any other
registration or inspection fee and

(2)     For each brand and grade of commercial
fertilizer and each soil conditioner distributed in
packages of {ten] 10 pounds or less and in packages over
[ten] 10 pounds, the annual $25 registration fee applies,
and only the portion distributed in packages over [ten]
10 pounds is subject to the inspection fee of 15 cents
per ton.

(b)   Each distributor shall pay an annual $100
registration fee for agricultural liming materials and
gypsum sold or distributed in the State. In addition,
each distributor shall pay an inspection fee at the rate
of [five] 5 cents per ton. However, no registrant is
required to pay more than $500 in registration and lime
inspection fees in any one year.

7-412.

(a) Every commission selling agency shall collect
from the owner or seller of tobacco sold on its sales
floor, a fee not exceeding the rate of [ten] 10 cents per
basket or 75 cents per hogshead. At any time less than
60 days prior to the opening of the selling season, the
authority may establish a lower rate for that one season
in consideration of its need for funds in the next fiscal
year, or other potentially available revenues, and funds
the State Comptroller holds on its account. Any lower
rate shall be at a level sufficient to keep the special
fund at an adequate level to meet requirements of this
subtitle,

7-418.

In addition to any other penalty provided by this
article, any person convicted of selling or attempting to
sell tobacco grown outside the State as Maryland-grown
tobacco is subject to a fine of [ten] 10 cents per pound
on the total amount sold or attempted to be sold.
