guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof
shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than
twenty—five dollars ($25) or undergo an imprisonment in
jail for a period not exceeding thirty days; or both, in
the discretion of the court.

403.

Any person under the age of twenty-one years, except
[that in Montgomery and Prince George's counties,] where
beer or light wine is involved, any person under the age
of eighteen years, who shall knowingly and falsely
represent himself to be twenty—one years of age, or
eighteen years of age [in Montgomery and Prince George's
counties] where beer or light wine is involved, to any
licensed innkeeper or other persons engaged in the sale
of intoxicating liquors, for the purpose of procuring or
having furnished to him, by sale, gift or otherwise, any
intoxicating liquors shall be deemed guilty of a
misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof in any court of
competent jurisdiction shall be sentenced to pay a fine
of not more than twenty—five dollars ($25) or imprisoned
in jail for a period not exceeding thirty days.

406A.

In Worcester County and in Anne Arundel County it
shall be unlawful for any person under the age of
twenty-one (21) years to have in his possession, or under
his charge or control, any alcoholic beverage as defined
in Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland OTHER
THAN BEER AND LIGHT WISE AND FOR ANY PERSON UNDER
EIGHTEEN YEARS TO HAVE BEER OR LIGHT MINE, unless such
person shall then and there be a bona fide employee of a
license holder, as defined in the said Article 2B, and
shall then and there have in his possession, or under his
charge or control, such alcoholic beverage during regular
working hours and in the course of his or her employment.

406C.

In Worcester County and in Anne Arundel County for
the purposes of the enforcement of §§ 400 through 406C of
this article, when any duly constituted police officer is
engaged in the discharge of his duty and he has reason to
believe that such a person is [under the age of 21 years]
VIOLATING THE PROVISIONS OF THESE SECTIONS it shall be
unlawful for such person IF ABOVE THE AGE OF JUVENILE
COURT JURISDICTION to fail or refuse to furnish proof of
his identification and age upon demand for the same by
said duly constituted police officer. Any person
refusing to do so shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and
upon conviction before a court of competent jurisdiction
of this State shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not
