(P) WHEN ANY PROPERTY OF AN AUTHORITY OR OF A
NONPROFIT HOUSING CORPORATION IS ENTITLED TO AN EXEMPTION
UNDER ARTICLE 44A, SECTION 22 OF THE MARYLAND CODE, THE
EXEMPTION SHALL BE PRORATED BY THE ASSESSING AUTHORITY
FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE TAXABLE YEAR FROM THE DATE WHEN
SUCH AUTHORITY OR NONPROFIT HOUSING CORPORATION SHALL
HAVE RECORDED THE INSTRUMENT BY WHICH IT ACQUIRED TITLE
TO THE PROPERTY.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this
subsection shall only apply to such property acquired by
such authority or nonprofit housing corporation after
December 31, 1971.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect on June 1, 1974.

added to Article 41 — Governor—Executive and
Administrative Departments, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement) to
read as follows:
