MARVIN MANDEL, Governor                               253

RECEIVER, TRUSTEE, GUARDIAN, EXECUTOR, ADMINISTRATOR,
FIDUCIARY, OR REPRESENTATIVE OF ANY KIND, OR ANY
PARTNERSHIP, FIRM, ASSOCIATION, PUBLIC OR PRIVATE
CORPORATION, OR ANY OTHER ENTITY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language
setting forth a broad definition of the word
"person" as used in this article. It is
similar to the definition of "person" in the
Agriculture Article and the Natural Resources
Article, except that the reference to "the
State, any county, municipal subdivision or
other political subdivision" is not included
because a gubernatorial commission is studying
the applicability of this phrase to the entire
Article. However, the fact that this phrase
is not included here does not mean that the
conveyancing laws of the State do not apply to
the State and its political subdivision. This
definition of "person" is in no way intended
to change the existing law.

(K) "PROPERTY" MEANS REAL PROPERTY OR ANY INTEREST
THEREIN OR APPURTENANT THERETO.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection presently appears as
Art. 21, §1-101(i) of the Code. No changes
are made.

[[(L) "TENANT" MEANS ANY TENANT INCLUDING A
"LESSEE."

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection presently appears as
Art. 21, §1-101(j) of the Code, New language
is added to indicate that this definition
includes any other accepted definition of the
term as well as a lessee. The only other
changes are in style.]]

(L) "PURCHASER" HAS THE SAME MEANING AS BUYER OR
VENDEE.[["]]

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language

proposed by the Commission to indicate
explicitly that "purchaser" as used in this
article includes the common law definitions of

"buyer" and "vendee." This definition is

necessary in light of the fact that every
present reference to "buyer" and "vendee" is

proposed for__deletion in this article and

"purchaser" consistently is used in its place.

[[(M) "PURCHASER" HAS THE SAME MEANING AS BUYER OR
VENDEE.
