MONIES OF THE STATE ON DEPOSIT WITH IT AND THE TOTAL
AMOUNT AND MARKET VALUE OF COLLATERAL PLEDGED TO SECURE
THESE STATE MONIES. A CUSTODIAN SHALL MAKE A REPORT OF
THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF THE COLLATERAL OF THE DEPOSITORY IN
ITS POSSESSION TO SECURE STATE MONIES. THESE REPORTS
SHALL BE MADE AT A TIME THE STATE TREASURER REQUESTS AND
GIVEN TO THE STATE TREASURER OR HIS DESIGNATE. A
DEPOSITORY SHALL ALSO MAKE REPORTS WHEN REQUESTED TO THE
COMPTROLLER OF THE CURRENCY IN THE CASE OF A NATIONAL
BANK, OR TO THE STATE BANK COMMISSIONER IN THE CASE OF A
STATE BANKING INSTITUTION, AS THEY MAY REQUIRE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Sections
21 and 22 of Article 95 — Treasurer, of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume and 1973
Supplement) be and they are hereby repealed and
re—enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

Article 95 — Treasurer
21.

The Treasurer may deposit the moneys of the State in
[such] A bank or banks as he may so select, or in [such]
A trust company or trust companies, incorporated under
the laws of this State and doing business therein, as he
may, from time to time, with the approval of the
Governor, select[, ]. [such] THESE depositories [giving]
SHALL GIVE security in the form of collateral as provided
for in [Article 90, § 9, as amended from time to time,]
SECTION 21A OF THIS ARTICLE, satisfactory to the Governor
and the Treasurer, for the safekeeping and forthcoming,
when required, of [said] THESE deposits.

22.

Notwithstanding any provision of law or ordinance to
the contrary or any limitation or restriction contained
in any other law or ordinance, the Treasurer of the
State, the county commissioners of each county of the
State, and the chief fiscal or administrative officer or
officers or governing body of each municipality, town,
body politic, public body corporate, school, road,
drainage, improvement, construction or soil conservation
district or commission in the State, including, by way of
enumeration and not in limitation, the Upper Potomac
River Commission, the State Roads Commission, county
school boards and other political subdivisions and todies
politic of the State and any agency of any political
subdivision of the State, and the trustees or other
officers in charge of any pension or retirement system or
fund of the State or any political subdivision thereof or
any agency or department of either are hereby severally
