AN ACT concerning
Commercial Net Pishing Licenses — Gill Nets
FOR the purpose of providing that, with certain
exceptions, if a licensee fails to use his
commercial net fishing license to set a gill net
during any year, the license lapses and may not be
renewed; and removing certain limitations upon the
transfer of commercial net fishing licenses to set a
gill net and providing that such licenses may be
transferred with the approval of [[and pursuant to
regulations [[prescribed]] adopted by]] the
Department of Natural Resources.
BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 4-705(a) and 4-706(b) of Article
— Natural Resources, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1973 Volume) be and they are hereby repealed and
re—enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

(a) Expiration of Renewal. —A commercial net
fishing license issued under this subtitle expires on
December 31 of each year. It is renewable annually,
unless revoked or suspended for cause. An application
