AN ACT concerning

High—Rise Building Safety

FOR the purpose of providing protection from fire to
persons in high—rise buildings, defining high—rise
buildings, requiring installation of sprinkler
systems in high—rise buildings, providing penalties
for violation of this subtitle, and adding a new
subtitle.

BY adding to

Article 38A — Fires and Investigations
Section 48, 49, 50, 51 and 52 under the new
subtitle "High—Rise Building Safety"
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1971 Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Sections 43, 49, 50, 51 and 52 under
the new subtitle "High—Rise building Safety" be and they
are hereby added to Article 38A — Fires and
Investigations, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971
Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement) to read as
follows:
