SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 6 of Article 91 — Surveyor and
State Survey, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969
Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 91 — Surveyor and State Survey
6.

[[No [one but a male] person [above] UNDER the age
eighteen years [shall] MAY be a chain or pole carrier.]]
A CHAIN OR POLE CARRIER SHALL BE AT LEAST FT 1811 16 YEARS
OF AGE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1974.
