AN ACT concerning

State Police — Salaries

FOR the purpose of providing that truck patrolmen shall
be compensated at not less than a certain pay grade
and correcting the language therein.

BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,

Article 88B - State Police

Section 22(a)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1969 Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 22(a) of Article 88B - State
Police, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969
Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 88B - State Police
22.

(a) From and after July 1, [1973] [[1974]]
[[1973]] 1974, all POLICE employees of the Maryland State
Police[, including police employees,]] shall receive such
salary, including any increment based upon length of
service, as is provided in § 23 of this article. TRUCK
PATROLMEN SHALL BE COMPENSATED AT NOT LESS THAN PAY GRADE
NINE OF THE STATE OF MARYLAND SALARY STRUCTURE FOR GRADED
STATE EMPLOYEES AS PROMULGATED BY THE SECRETARY OF
PERSONNEL PURSUANT TO ARTICLE 64A, SECTION 27, OF THE
ANNOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1974.
