IN ADDITION TO OTHER ACTIONS, PENALTIES AND
REMEDIES PROVIDED FOR IN THIS SUBTITLE, THE ATTORNEY
GENERAL MAY, AFTER A HEARING, ISSUE A CEASE AND DESIST
ORDER WITH RESPECT TO VIOLATIONS OF ANY PROVISIONS OF
THIS SUBTITLE. ]]

SECTION [[2]] 1. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That
new sections 22B and 22C be and they are hereby added to
Article 83 — Sales and Notices, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement) to
read as follows:

Article 83 — Sales and Notices
22B.

THE ATTORNEY GENERAL, IN CONFORMANCE WITH THE
PROVISIONS OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES ACT, MAY
ADOPT, AMEND AND REPEAL RULES AND REGULATIONS AS HAY BE
NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE PURPOSES OF THIS SUBTITLE.

22C.

NOTWITHSTANDING OTHER PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBTITLE,
THE CONSUMER PROTECTION DIVISION MAY ENTER INTO
AGREEMENTS WITH PERSONS WITHIN THE STATE WHEREBY ANY
DISPUTE ARISING UNDER A PROVISION OF THIS SUBTITLE WILL
VOLUNTARILY BE SUBMITTED TO ARBITRATION AS PROVIDED IN
ARTICLE 7, SECTION I OF THE ANNOTATED CODE. THE CONSUMER
PROTECTION DIVISION MAY ADMINISTER A PROGRAM OF VOLUNTARY
ARBITRATION OF CONSUMER DISPUTES, WHICH HAY INCLUDE THE
RECRUITMENT AND TRAINING OF VOLUNTEER ARBITRATORS AND THE
EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC AND THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY
CONCERNING THE BENEFITS OF ARBITRATION. THE DIVISION
SHALL PROVIDE FOR CLERICAL HELP AND OFFICE SPACE FOR
ARBITRATION TRIBUNALS. ARBITRATIONS UNDER THIS SUBTITLE
SHALL BE GOVERNED AND ENFORCED UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF
ARTICLE 7 OF THE ANNOTATED CODE.

[[SECTION 3. AND BE   IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new

Section 32A be and it   is hereby added to Article 56 —
Licenses, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1972

Replacement Volume and     1973 Supplement) to read as
follows:
