SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 517(a) and (b), 518(c), and
524(a) of Article 4 3 - Health, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement) be
and they are hereby repealed and re—enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

Article 43 - Health
517.

(a)   The Governor, with the advice of the Secretary
of Licensing and Regulation, [shall appoint,] AND with
the advice and consent of the Senate, SHALL APPOINT
[five] SIX competent persons[,] WHO ARE citizens and
residents of the State of Maryland, to constitute the
Maryland Architectural Registration Board[, which shall
be a]. THE BOARD IS part of the Department of Licensing
and Regulation. [The Board shall be constituted and
compensated as follows: ]

(b)   The Board shall be comprised of five [members
to be] architects of recognized standing, at least three
