(B)    NOTHING IN THIS SECTION SHALL BE CONSTRUED TO
AFFECT OR CHANGE ANY EXISTING PUBLIC GENERAL LAW OR
PUBLIC LOCAL LAW PERTAINING TO SABBATH BREAKING IN THE
CITY OF OCEAN CITY[[;]] OR ANY PUBLIC GENERAL LAW OR
PUBLIC LOCAL LAW IN EXISTENCE OR HEREINAFTER ENACTED
PERTAINING TO SABBATH BREAKING IN WORCESTER COUNTY.

(C)    THE STATE'S ATTORNEY OF WORCESTER COUNTY MAY
PETITION THE CIRCUIT COURT TO ENJOIN ANY VIOLATION OF
THIS SECTION[[;]].

(D) ANY PERSON, FIRM OR CORPORATION VIOLATING THE
PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION IS GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR
AND, UPON CONVICTION, IS SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING
PENALTIES. THE FIRST CONVICTION IS PUNISHABLE BY A FINE
NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00), A SECOND
CONVICTION IS PUNISHABLE BY A FINE NOT TO EXCEED FIVE
HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500.00), AND FOR A THIRD OR SUBSEQUENT
CONVICTION BY A FINE NOT TO EXCEED FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS
($500.00) FOR EACH EMPLOYEE CAUSED, DIRECTED OR
AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN VIOLATION OF THIS SECTION. NOTHING
CONTAINED HEREIN SHALL BE CONSTRUED TO PERMIT ANY FINS
UPON ANY EMPLOYEE OR AGENT WHO HAS BEES CAUSED OR
DIRECTED BY HIS EMPLOYER TO VIOLATE THE PROVISIONS OF
THIS SECTION.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That before
this Act shall become effective, it shall first be
submitted to the legally qualified voters of Worcester
County at a special election to be held at the earliest
possible date, but not later than June 1, 1974, the exact
date to be fixed in the discretion of the County
Commissioners of Worcester County. The cost of such
election shall be borne by the County Commissioners of
Worcester County, There shall be printed on the ballots
or ballot lables to be used at said election, the title
of this Act and underneath said title, on separate lines,
a square or box to the right of and opposite the words
"for Sunday sales," and a corresponding square or box to
the right of and opposite the words "against Sunday
sales," so that the voters of said county shall be able
to designate his or her decision for or against said Act.
This Act shall be applicable only in such election
district or districts of the County, if any, in which
election district or districts a majority of the voters
participating in said election shall have voted "for
Sunday sales."

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
Board of Supervisors of Elections of Worcester County
shall promptly report to the clerk of the Circuit Court
for Worcester County the results of this referendum and
the clerk of the circuit Court shall promptly certify the
results of the referendum to the Secretary of State of
