AN ACT concerning

Corrective Legislation — Retirement Systems

FOR the purpose of correcting certain grammatical,
spelling, punctuation, typographical, and
punctuation errors, obsolete statutory
cross—references, obsolete agency designations, and
related technical errors in the laws relating to
retirement systems.

BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments.

Article 73B — Pensions

Sections 1(5) and (6), 11(3) (a) and 14(2)(d)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 1(5) and (6), 11(3) (a) and
14(2)(d) of Article 73B - Pensions, of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1970 Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement)
be and they are hereby repealed and re—enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

Article 73B — Pensions

1.

(5)    "Board of trustees'* shall mean the board
provided for in § [11] 12 of this article to administer
the retirement system.

(6)    "Medical board" shall mean the board of
physicians provided for in § [11] 12 of this article.

(3) Upon retirement for service a member shall
receive a service retirement allowance which shall be
computed as:

(a) One fifty—fifth of his average final
compensation multiplied by the number of years of his
creditable service; provided, however, (i) that if a
member who has not attained the age of sixty at the time
of his retirement has rendered less than thirty years of
creditable service, the service retirement allowance
payable at retirement shall be reduced by one half of one
per centum for each month by which his date of retirement
precedes the earlier of (a) the date he would have
