AN ACT concerning

Higher Education — Scholarships

FOR the purpose of increasing the amount of aid granted
to children of certain persons who are killed in the
line of duty.

BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments.

Article 77A - Higher Education

Section 64 (b)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1969 Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 64(b) of Article 77A - Higher
Education, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969
Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 77a — Higher Education
64.

(b) The amount of aid granted shall not exceed
[$500] SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS per year for each applicant,
and shall be paid to the institution on vouchers approved
by the State Scholarship Board.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1974.
