Employees

FOR the purpose of providing service credit for
professional employees of the State Department of
Education employed prior to July 1, 1972, for years
of service rendered as employees of local school
systems, and making certain style changes.

BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 31 of Article 77 - Public
Education, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969
Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 77 — Public Education
31.

(A) All professional personnel who [have been] WERE
formerly employed by local school systems and by the
public library systems in the State and who [shall be]
