CHAPTER 384
(Senate Bill 810)
AN ACT concerning

Prince George's County and Montgomery County — Conduct
of business on Sundays (Blue Lavs)

FOR the purpose of providing that in Prince George's and
Montgomery Counties businesses with six or less
persons employed on Sundays may be open on Sundays ,
permitting certain employees to choose as a day of
rest their Sabbath and providing procedures for
observance of this day.

BY repealing and re—enacting, with amendments,

Article 27 — Crimes and Punishments

Section 534H(c) and 534J (c)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1971 Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement)

BY adding to

Article 27 — Crimes and Punishments

Sections 534H(k) and 534J(k)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1971 Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That [[Section]] Sections 534H(c) and 534J(c)
of Article 27 — Crimes and Punishments, of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1973
Supplement) be and [[it is]] they are hereby repealed and
re—enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

Article 27 — Crimes and Punishments
534H.

(c) Nothing in this section applies to:

1.  Farmers.

2.  Nurserymen.

3.  [Small] ANY business with not more than     six
[ (6) ] persons on any one shift ON SUNDAY with   the
exception of persons or retailers engaged in the sale     of
motor vehicles.
