MARVIN MANDEL, Governor                            1525

and Employment, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964
Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and re—enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 100 - Work, Labor and Employment
76.

(d) Law—enforcement employees of the Maryland
State Police [and] WHO WORK IN EXCESS OF THEIR NORMAL
EIGHT HOUR DAILY WORK DAY, AND LAW-ENFORCEMENT EMPLOYEES
of the Department of Natural Resources who work in excess
of [the] THEIR normal [[ten]] EIGHT [ (10) ] hour daily
work day shall receive overtime compensation which shall
be computed by dividing the daily rate of compensation by
the number of hours in the normal daily work day and
multiplying the resulting quotient by one and one—half
times the number of hours worked in excess of the normal
daily work day. LAW ENFORCEMENT EMPLOYEES OF THE
MARYLAND STATE POLICE AND THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL
RESOURCES WHO ARE CALLED OUT TO DUTY DURING A REGULARLY
SCHEDULED OFF-DUTY DAY AND WORK ONE OR MORE HOURS SHALL
RECEIVE OVERTIME COMPENSATION WHICH SHALL BE COMPUTED BY
DIVIDING THE DAILY RATE OF COMPENSATION BY THE NUMBER OF
HOURS IN THE NORMAL DAILY WORK DAY AND MULTIPLYING THE
RESULTING QUOTIENT BY ONE AND ONE-HALF [[TIME]] TIMES THE
NUMBER OF HOURS WORKED DURING THE OFF-DUTY DAY. The
maximum yearly overtime to be paid any one [such]
employee is as follows:

Trooper, Trooper First Class and

Natural Resource officers I [[and]] ,

11 AND III                                                  $800 per annum

Corporal and Natural Resources

[[Officer III]]                                          700 per annum

CORPORAL

Sergeant and Natural Resources

[[Officer IV]]                                            600 per annum

SERGEANT

1st Sergeant and Natural

Resources [[Officer V]]                         500 per annum

LIEUTENANT

2nd Lieutenant and Natural

Resources [[Officer VI]]                       400 per annum

CAPTAIN

1st Lieutenant and Natural

Resources [[Officer VII]] 300 per annum
MAJOR
