AN ACT concerning

Crab Pots — Non—Commercial Purposes

FOR the purpose of allowing an owner of shoreline
property in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Worcester,
Calvert and St. Mary's Counties to set a certain
number of crab pots in a certain manner to catch
crabs for non—commercial purposes.

BY repealing and re-enacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 4-811 of Article - Natural
Resources, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1974
Volume) be and it is hereby repealed and re—enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

Article — Natural Resources
4-811.

Any owner of tidewater shoreline property in ANNE
ARUNDEL, BALTIMORE, WORCESTER, CALVERT, Charles [county]
AND ST. MARY'S COUNTIES may set not more than four crab
pots attached to his pier or dock, by line, string or
rope, or attached to a pole set not more than 200 feet
from shore. This pole shall be conspicuously marked by
colored tape or similar material and shall have on it a
sign at least six inches by six inches indicating the
owner's name and address. Pots may be set any day or
