COUNTY OR MUNICIPALITY IN MARYLAND IN WHICH IT IS DULY
AUTHORIZED AND LICENSED TO OPERATE, AND

(B) AFTER TRANSPORTING A PASSENGER TO
BALTIMORE—WASHINGTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT FROM SUCH
COUNTY OR MUNICIPALITY IN WHICH IT IS DULY AUTHORIZED AND
LICENSED TO OPERATE MAY PICK UP PASSENGERS AT
BALTIMORE-WASHINGTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AND TRANSPORT
THEM TO SUCH COUNTY OR MUNICIPALITY ON ITS RETURN TRIP.

TITLE 10. VIOLATION OF AERONAUTIC LAWS
10-1001.

(A)    IT SHALL BE THE DUTY OF THE ADMINISTRATION,
ITS OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES, AND EVERY STATE AND LOCAL
OFFICER CHARGED WITH THE ENFORCEMENT OF STATE AND LOCAL
LAWS, TO ENFORCE AND ASSIST IN THE ENFORCEMENT OF THIS
ARTICLE AND OF ALL RULES, REGULATIONS AND ORDERS ISSUED
PURSUANT THERETO AND OF ALL OTHER LAWS OF THIS STATE
RELATING TO AERONAUTICS.

(B)    THE ADMINISTRATION IS AUTHORIZED, IN THE NAME
OF THE STATE TO ENFORCE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ARTICLE
AND THE RULES, REGULATIONS AND ORDERS ISSUED PURSUANT
THERETO BY INJUNCTION OR OTHER LEGAL PROCESS IN THE
COURTS OF THIS STATE.

(C)    WHENEVER A PERSON IS APPREHENDED BY ANY
ENFORCEMENT OFFICER AS DEFINED IN SUBSECTION (A) OF THIS
SECTION FOR VIOLATION OF ANY OF THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
ARTICLE OR OF ANY RULES, REGULATIONS OR ORDERS ISSUED
PURSUANT TO THIS ARTICLE, WHICH OFFENSES ARE PUNISHABLE
UNDER SECTION 1-1002 AND WHO IS NOT TAKEN BEFORE A
DISTRICT COURT COMMISSIONER AS REQUIRED OR PERMITTED, THE
OFFICER MAY PREPARE A WRITTEN MARYLAND UNIFORM COMPLAINT
AND CITATION OR SIMILAR WRITTEN CITATION. SUCH CITATION
SHALL CONTAIN A NOTICE TO APPEAR IN COURT, THE NAME AND
ADDRESS OF THE PERSON CHARGED, THE STATE REGISTRATION
NUMBER OF THE AIRCRAFT, IF ANY, THE OFFENSE CHARGED, THE
TIME AND THE PLACE THE PERSON SHALL APPEAR IN COURT AND
OTHER SUCH INFORMATION AS MAY BE REQUIRED.

THE PERSON CHARGED MAY GIVE HIS WRITTEN PROMISE TO
APPEAR IN COURT BY SIGNING THE CITATION PREPARED BY THE
OFFICER. IN THIS EVENT, THE OFFICER IS NOT REQUIRED TO
TAKE THE PERSON IN PHYSICAL CUSTODY FOR THE VIOLATION
UNLESS THE PERSON CHARGED DOES NOT FURNISH SATISFACTORY
EVIDENCE OF IDENTITY OR THE OFFICER HAS REASONABLE
GROUNDS TO BELIEVE THE PERSON CHARGED WILL DISREGARD A
WRITTEN PROMISE TO APPEAR.
