Section 6-208(b)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1970 Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 6-208(b) of Article 66 1/2 -
Vehicle Laws, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970
Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Section 6-208(b) be and it is hereby added to Article 66
1/2 — Vehicle Laws, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1970 Replacement Volume and 1973 Supplement) to read as
follows:

Article 66 1/2 — Vehicle Laws
6-208.

(B) ANY PERSON WHOSE LICENSE OR PRIVILEGE TO DRIVE
A MOTOR VEHICLE ON THE PUBLIC HIGHWAYS HAS BEEN REVOKED
MAY APPLY FOR REINSTATEMENT OF HIS DRIVER'S LICENSE OR
PRIVILEGE IN THE FOLLOWING MANNER:

(1)    IF IT IS HIS FIRST REVOCATION, AN APPLICATION
FOR REINSTATEMENT OF THE DRIVER'S LICENSE OR PRIVILEGE
MAY BE FILED THE DAY AFTER THE REVOKED LICENSE WAS
SURRENDERED TO AND RECEIVED BY THE ADMINISTRATION, OR IN
THE CASE OF INDIVIDUALS WHO DO NOT POSSESS A MARYLAND
LICENSE, THE DAY AFTER THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE
REVOCATION. THE ADMINISTRATION MAY REINSTATE THE
DRIVER'S LICENSE OR PRIVILEGE NOT LESS THAN 60 DAYS AFTER
THE REVOKED LICENSE WAS SURRENDERED TO AND RECEIVED BY
THE ADMINISTRATION, OR IN THE CASE OF INDIVIDUALS WHO DO
NOT POSSESS A MARYLAND LICENSE, NOT LESS THAN 60 DAYS
AFTER THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE REVOCATION.

(2)    IF IT IS HIS SECOND OR SUBSEQUENT REVOCATION,
AN APPLICATION FOR REINSTATEMENT OF THE DRIVER'S LICENSE
OR PRIVILEGE MAY BE FILED AFTER THE EXPIRATION OF 10
MONTHS FROM THE DAY THE REVOKED LICENSE WAS SURRENDERED
TO AND RECEIVED BY THE ADMINISTRATION, OR IN THE CASE OF
INDIVIDUALS WHO DO NOT POSSESS A MARYLAND LICENSE, AFTER
THE EXPIRATION OF 10 MONTHS FROM THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF
THE REVOCATION. THE ADMINISTRATION MAY REINSTATE THE
DRIVER'S LICENSE OR PRIVILEGE NOT LESS THAN ONE YEAR
AFTER THE REVOKED LICENSE WAS SURRENDERED TO AND RECEIVED
BY THE ADMINISTRATION, OR IN THE CASE OF INDIVIDUALS WHO
DO NOT POSSESS A MARYLAND LICENSE, NOT LESS THAN ONE YEAR
