EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT

June 1, 1973.

Honorable William S. James
President of the Senate
State House
Annapolis, Maryland

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17, of the Maryland Constitution,
I have today vetoed Senate Bill 774.

This bill excludes hatchery eggs from certain personal property assess-
ments.

House Bill 933, which was enacted by the General Assembly and signed
by me on May 21, 1973, accomplishes the same purpose as Senate Bill 774.

Therefore, it is unnecessary for me to sign Senate Bill 774.

Sincerely,

MARVIN MANDEL,
Governor.

Which was read.

tions," to enlarge the definition of poultry to include fertile hatching
eggs.]] to provide a property tax exemption for certain hatching eggs.
