Article 66C, section 490. The only other

(C) OATH OF OFFICE; ACCOUNT OF EXPENSES.—BEFORE
ENTERING UPON THE DUTIES OF HIS OFFICE, THE DIRECTOR
SHALL TAKE THE OATH PRESCRIBED BY THE CONSTITUTION.
HE SHALL SENDER AN ACCOUNT MONTHLY OF THE EXPENSES
NECESSARILY INCURRED IN THE DISCHARGE OF HIS DUTIES
TOGETHER WITH AN ACCOUNT OF NECESSARY EXPENSES
INCURRED BY THE DISTRICT MINE INSPECTORS WHICH HE
APPROVES. THE COMPTROLLER, SHALL PAY, BY WARRANT, THE
EXPENSES IN AN AMOUNT NOT EXCEEDING THE ALLOWANCE
PROVIDED BY APPROPRIATION OR OTHER LAW.

The second paragraph of section 490 is
proposed for deletion because it appears as
section 7-202 (b). The only other changes
made are in style.
7-203. DUTIES OF BUREAU.
(A) ENFORCEMENT OF LAWS; RULES AND
REGULATIONS.—THE BUREAU SHALL SUPERVISE THE EXECUTION
AND ENFORCEMENT OF ANY LAW ENACTED FOR THE HEALTH AND
SAFETY OF PERSONS AND PROTECTION AND CONSERVATION OF
PROPERTY WITHIN, ABOUT, OR RELATED TO BITUMINOUS COAL
MINES OR STRIPPINGS IN THE STATE. TO THIS END, IT
SHALL ADOPT AND ENFORCE NECESSARY RULES AND
REGULATIONS AFTER GIVING DUE NOTICE.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection presently appears

The reference to the department's
obligation to publish rules and regulations
is proposed for deletion because it
duplicates the substance of proposed
subsection (b). The final provision also
is proposed for deletion because its
substance appears in proposed subsection
(h). The only other changes made are in
style.
(B) PUBLICATION AND DISTRIBUTION OF MINING LAWS,
RULES, AND REGULATIONS.—THE BUREAU SHALL COMPILE,
PUBLISH, AND DISTRIBUTE TO INTERESTED PERSONS, THE
MINING LAWS AND RULES AND REGULATIONS. THE
PUBLICATION SHALL BE MADE AT REASONABLE TIMES TO KEEP
THE LAWS AND RULES AND REGULATIONS CURRENT. THE
BUREAU SHALL KEEP A RECORD OF ANY INSPECTION OR
