THE WORKING HOURS AND HOLIDAYS OF THE STATE
TOBACCO WAREHOUSE SHALL BE THOSE CUSTOMARILY OBSERVED
BY OTHER STATE DEPARTMENTS, UNLESS CHANGED BY THE
SECRETARY.

derived from the last phrase of Art. 48, §9
of the Code.
Subsection (b) presently appears as Art. 48,
§14 of the Code.

SEC. 7-303. HEADQUARTERS OF MARYLAND TOBACCO GROWERS
ASSOCIATION.
THE MARYLAND TOBACCO GROWERS' ASSOCIATION, MAY
OCCUPY SPACE IN THE WAREHOUSE FOR ITS SALESROOMS AND
HEADQUARTERS, UPON THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AGREED TO
BY THE SECRETARY.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 48, §49 of the Code. The present
reference to the "State tobacco warehouse" is
proposed for deletion in light of the
definition of "warehouse" set forth in
§7—101(1). The present reference to the fact
that the Association is incorporated by an
act of the General Assembly is proposed for
deletion as superfluous. The present
reference to the "Inspector" is proposed for
deletion and the reference to the Secretary
added for the reasons explained in the
revisor's note to §7-301 (b). The only other
changes made are in style.
SEC. 7-304. DESIGNEE TO ACT IN ABSENCE OF INSPECTOR;
EMPLOYMENT OF PART-TIME EMPLOYEES.
(A) ABSENCE OF INSPECTOR.
THE SECRETARY MAY DESIGNATE ANY EMPLOYEE TO ACT IN
THE PLACE OF THE INSPECTOR, IF THE INSPECTOR IS ABSENT
DUE TO SICKNESS OR ANY OTHER UNAVOIDABLE CAUSE. THE
DESIGNEE SHALL QUALIFY UNDER OATH FOR THE FAITHFUL
DISCHARGE OF HIS DUTIES.
(B) EMPLOYMENT OF PART-TIME PERSONS.
