MARVIN MANDEL, Governor 1653
Authority is proposed for deletion and
"eight" is substituted because the Authority
now has eight members. New language is added
to indicate that a member serves until his
successor is selected and "qualifies" because
a person who is selected may not be a bona
fide member unless he qualifies for the
position. The provision for staggered terms
of the original members is proposed for
deletion as obsolete.
In subsection (c) the present provision which
requires new appointees to have
qualifications similar to those of the next
previous incumbent when "appointment is made
to fill a vacancy for an expired term" is
proposed for deletion because this
requirement should relate to persons chosen
to fill an unexpired term as well as expired
terms.
The only other changes made are in style.
