SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 141(a) of Article 26 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1971 Supplement), title "Courts," subtitle "District Courts," be and it
is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

141.

(a) There shall be in each of the foregoing districts the following number of
district judges:

District 1-22

District 2-4

District 3-6, two to be appointed from Cecil

County

District 4-3

District 5-8

District 6-7

District 7-6

District 8-12

District 9-2

District 10-[2] 3, TWO TO BE APPOINTED FROM HOWARD COUNTY

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 22(a) and 23(a) of
Article 88B of the Annotated Code of Maryland ([[1969 Replacement Volume
and]] 1972 Supplement), title "State Police," subtitle "Police and Civilian
Employees," to change the salaries of police and civilian employees of the State
police.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 22(a) and 23(a) of Article 88B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland ([[1969 Replacement Volume and]] 1972 Supplement), title
"State Police," subtitle "Police and Civilian Employees," be and they are hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

(a) From and after [January 1,1972,1 JULY 1,1973, all employees of the
Maryland State Police, including police employees, shall receive such salary,
including any increment based upon length of service, as is provided in §23 of this
article.
