(House Bill 1070)
AN ACT to add new Section 128A to Article 2B of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1968 Replacement Volume and 1972 Supplement), title "Alcoholic
Beverages," subtitle "Restrictions Upon Licensees," to follow immediately after
Section 128 thereof, to permit persons eighteen (18) years of age or older to
serve alcoholic beverages in restaurants in connection with serving a meal in St.
Mary's County, but not to act as bartenders or barmaids.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 128A be and it is hereby added to Article 2B of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Replacement Volume and 1972
Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Restrictions Upon Licensees,"
to follow immediately after Section 128 thereof, and to read as follows:
128A.
IN ST. MARY'S COUNTY A PERSON EIGHTEEN (18) YEARS OF AGE
OR OLDER MAY SERVE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN RESTAURANTS
IN CONNECTION WITH SERVING OF A MEAL. PERSONS UNDER
TWENTY-ONE (21) YEARS OF AGE MAY NOT ACT AS BARTENDER
OR BARMAID OR IN ANY SOLELY BAR-RELATED CAPACITY IN ST.
MARY'S COUNTY.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 53 of Article 40 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1972
Supplement), title "General Assembly", subtitle "Department of Legislative
Reference", to provide that a copy of certain publications be filed with a
designated agency of the counties and Baltimore City.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 53 of Article 40 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1971 Replacement Volume and 1972 Supplement), title "General Assembly",
subtitle "Department of Legislative Reference", be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
