MASTER MAY NOTE AN EXCEPTION TO SUCH RECOMMENDATION
WITHIN TEN DAYS. IN ALL OTHER CASES, ANY PARTY AS WELL AS
THE PETITIONER, AGGRIEVED BY A FINAL RECOMMENDATION OF
THE MASTER, MAY NOTE AN EXCEPTION TO THE
RECOMMENDATION WITHIN TEN DAYS. EXCEPTIONS TO
RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE MASTER, AFTER HEARING, SHALL BE
RULED ON BY A JUDGE OF THE CIRCUIT COURT.
THE CIRCUIT COURT ALSO MAY DESIGNATE AND EMPLOY ONE
OR MORE PERSONS TO BE KNOWN AS SUBSTITUTE MASTERS FOR
JUVENILE CAUSES OF THE CIRCUIT COURT OF PRINCE GEORGE'S
COUNTY, WHO SHALL BE MEMBERS OF THE BAR OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND AT A PER DIEM WAGE TO BE ESTABLISHED AND PAID
BY THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE AND COUNTY COUNCIL. SUBSTITUTE
MASTERS, WHEN SERVING, SHALL HAVE THE SAME DUTIES AND
POWERS AS THE MASTERS OF JUVENILE CAUSES.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 7B(b) of the Code of
Public Local Laws of St. Mary's County (being Article 19 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "St Mary's County," subtitle "Circuit
Court," to require full payment of the Circuit Court Judge's secretary's salary
by the County Commissioners of St. Mary's County.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 7B(b) of the Code of Public Local Laws of St.
Mary's County (being Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "St. Mary's County," subtitle "Circuit Court," be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
7B.
(b) The salary for the secretary shall be paid by the [Clerk of the Circuit Court
for St. Mary's County in accordance with the salary scale for comparable
employment as established by the office of the State Comptroller. The County
Commissioners of St. Mary's County shall reimburse the Clerk of the Court for
one-half of the salary.] COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF ST. MARY'S
COUNTY. The compensation paid by the County Commissioners shall be levied
annually by the County Commissioners of said County and charged to the
expenses of the Circuit Court for St. Mary's County.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.
