MEAT BY-PRODUCTS OR THE LIPS, SNOUTS, EARS OR SPLEENS, OR
10% ADDED WATER IN BEING PREPARED.

(S)]] THE LABELING AND/OR SALE OF HAMBURGER, CHOPPED
OR GROUND BEEF AS "ALL BEEF" OR "ALL MEAT" IF THE
PRODUCT CONTAINS MORE THAN 30% OF FAT THE PRODUCT MAY
CONTAIN SEASONING NOT IN EXCESS OF CONDIMENTAL
QUANTITIES [[ HAS SUCH AND/OR SEASONING]]. IN THE EVENT
ANY HAMBURGER, CHOPPED OR GROUND BEEF IS MIXED WITH
POULTRY, PORK OR OTHER MEAT PRODUCTS, THE CONTENT OF
ALL MEATS MIXED WITH THE BEEF MUST PROMINENTLY APPEAR
ON THE LABELING OF THE PACKAGE BEFORE THE CONTENT OF
BEEF IS STATED. THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBSECTION SHALL BE
ENFORCEABLE BY COMPLAINT WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF THE
STATE'S ATTORNEY TO ANY APPROPRIATE AGENCY OF THE
STATE, COUNTY, OR CITY OF BALTIMORE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

CHAPTER 313
(House Bill 619)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 26(b) of Article 59A
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1972 Supplement), title "Mental
Retardation," subtitle "Financing of Services for the Mentally Retarded,"
correcting certain errors in the laws relating to mental retardation.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 26(b) of Article 59A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1972 Supplement), title "Mental Retardation," subtitle "Financing of
Services for the Mentally Retarded," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

26.

(b) The Department shall specify the time and amount of payments. It may
from time to time, modify its orders as to payments, as circumstances may
warrant. In setting the amounts of payments, the Department shall consider the
financial means [of] OR abilities of the mentally retarded person and responsible
relatives or guardian, and may agree to accept less than the per capita cost of care.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.
