Ch. 312                          MARVIN MANDEL, Governor                               713

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 243(e) be and it is hereby added to Article 48A
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1972 Supplement), title "Insurance Code,"
subtitle "Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund," to follow immediately after
Section 243(d) thereof, and to read as follows:

243.

(E) [[IF AN INSURED, PREVIOUSLY COVERED IN THE MARYLAND
AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE PLAN, IS TRANSFERRED TO A PRIVATE
COMPANY, THE AGENT OR BROKER WHO ORIGINALLY PLACED
THE INSURED AND IS THE PRODUCER OF RECORD SHALL RECEIVE
A COMMISSION NOT LESS THAN 10% OF THE PREMIUMS UPON
SUCH TRANSFER.]] AS OF JANUARY 1, 1973, IF AN INSURED,
PREVIOUSLY COVERED IN THE MARYLAND AUTOMOBILE
INSURANCE PLAN, IS TRANSFERRED TO A PRIVATE COMPANY,
THE_ AGENT OR BROKER WHO ORIGINALLY PLACED THE INSURED
WITH THE SAME COMPANY AND IS THE PRODUCER OF RECORD
SHALL RECEIVE A COMMISSION OF 10% OF THE PREMIUMS UPON
THE FIRST TRANSFER OR FIRST RENEWAL ONLY IF NO OTHER
AGENTS OR BROKER'S_ COMMISSION IS PAID. NO COMMISSIONS
UNDER THIS SECTION SHALL BE RAID ON FUTURE RENEWALS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

CHAPTER 312
(House Bill 614)

AN ACT to add new [[Sections 470I(r) and (s)]] Section 470I(r) to Article 66C
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Replacement Volume and 1972
Supplement), title "Natural Resources," subtitle "Maryland Wholesome Meat
Act," to follow immediately after Section 470I(q) thereof, [[to prohibit the
labeling and sale of frankfurters and other sausage products as "all meat"
unless the product meets certain requirements, and]] to prohibit the labeling
and sale of hamburger, chopped or ground beef as "all beef" or "all meat"
unless the product meets certain requirements , to set certain standards for
mixing certain meats with beef and to allow enforcement of the provisions of
this Act by complaint only.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new [[Sections 470I(r) and (s)]] Section 470I(r) be and
[[they are]] is hereby added to Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1970 Replacement Volume and 1972 Supplement), title "Natural Resources,"
subtitle "Maryland Wholesome Meat Act," to follow immediately after Section
470I(q) thereof, and to read as follows:

470I.

(R) [[THE LABELING AND/OR SALE OF FRANKFURTERS AND
OTHER SAUSAGE PRODUCTS AS "ALL MEAT" IF THERE IS MORE
THAN A 30% FAT CONTENT IN THE PRODUCT OR IF IT CONTAINS
