Laws of Maryland), title "Montgomery County," subtitle "Title III. City, Town
and Village Laws," subheading "Subtitle 3. Villages," be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
63-3.
(a) From and after June 1, 1922, until the first Tuesday in April, 1923, the said
Chevy Chase Citizens' Committee of Section 5 shall be constituted as follows:
Matthew T. Moomaw, Frank Simpson, Ralph Duskam, Frank H. Shultz and
Handley D. Dale, and the first named shall, until otherwise directed by said
committee, be and constitute the chairman thereof, each of whom shall qualify as
such committeeman by taking an oath before any officer in Montgomery County
authorized by law to administer oaths, to diligently and faithfully discharge all
duties of the office. In case any such persons shall fail to qualify within sixty days
after June 1, 1922, or any of their successors shall fail to qualify within sixty days
after his election as committeeman, as hereinafter provided, or in case of any
vacancy through death, resignation, or otherwise, the remaining committeemen
shall fill such vacancy by the appointment of a [resident owner of real property of
legal age in said Section 5 of said village,] REGISTERED AND QUALIFIED
VOTER OF MONTGOMERY COUNTY RESIDING IN SECTION 5 OF
SAID VILLAGE, who shall hold office for such term or unexpired term.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

(House Bill 351)
AN ACT to add new Section 114A to Article 77 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume), title "Public Education," subtitle
"Chapter 8. Teachers," to follow immediately after Section 114 thereof,
providing for hearing examiners, who shall be attorneys admitted to practice
before the Court of Appeals of Maryland, before the Board of Education of
Montgomery County, at the discretion of said board, in proceedings under
Sections 59 and 114 of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, subject
to reasonable rules and regulations to be adopted by the board and relating
generally to the use of hearing examiners in proceedings before the Board of
Education of Montgomery County.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 114A be and it is hereby added to Article 77 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume), title "Public
Education," subtitle "Chapter 8. Teachers," to follow immediately after Section
114 thereof, and to read as follows:

IN ALL PROCEEDINGS BEFORE THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF
MONTGOMERY COUNTY PURSUANT TO §§ 59 AND 114 OF THIS
ARTICLE, THE BOARD MAY CAUSE THE SAME TO BE HEARD
INITIALLY BY A HEARING EXAMINER, WHO SHALL BE AN
ATTORNEY ADMITTED TO PRACTICE BEFORE THE COURT OF
