running water system under pressure; except, that the
flush water closet shall be connected to an approved
sewage disposal system and to an approved cold running
water system under pressure. The flush water closet,
lavatory basin and bathtub or shower need not be
installed in the same room, but such room or rooms
shall afford privacy to a person within such room or
rooms.
(c) Every dwelling unit, hostel,
boardinghouse, tourist home, and rooming house shall
be supplied with adequate rubbish storage facilities
and with adequate garbage disposal facilities or
garbage storage containers as required by Chapter 97
of this Code.
(d) Water-heating facilities necessary to
provide the hot water required by this section shall
be properly installed and connected to the hot water
lines required under this section, shall be maintained
in safe and good working condition, and shall be
capable of heating water to such a temperature as to
permit an adequate amount of water to be drawn at
every required kitchen sink, lavatory basin, bathtub
or shower at a temperature of not less than one
hundred twenty degrees Fahrenheit. Such supplied
water—heating facilities shall be capable of meeting
the requirements of this subsection when the dwelling,
dwelling unit, hostel, boardinghouse, tourist house,
rooming house or rooming unit heating facilities
required under this Chapter are not in operation.
(e) Every dwelling unit and rooming unit
shall have safe, unobstructed means of egress leading
to safe and open space at ground level as required by
the statutes, ordinances and regulations of the
County.
SECTION 2. Subsection 91-6, Chapter 91, title
"Housing Standards," Montgomery County Code 1965, is
hereby repealed and re—enacted to read as follows:
91—6. Minimum standards for light, ventilation
and heating.
(e) Every dwelling or duelling unit,
hostel, boardinghouse, tourist home and rooming house
shall be supplied with heating facilities which are
properly installed and are maintained in safe and good
