Interference with Authorized
Prohibited

Persons

No person shall attempt to interfere with
the Animal Control Officer, [dog] ANIMAL CONTROL
warden or any other authorized person in the
performance of their duties nor shall any person
attempt to or release without authority any
animal impounded according to the animal control
laws of the County.

Section 3.     AND, BE IT FURTHER ENACTED BY THE

COUNTY COUNCIL     oF HOWARD COUNTY, MARYLAND that this

Act shall take     effect sixty (60) days after its
enactment.

This Bill, having been approved by the Executive and
returned to the Council, stands enacted on October 11,
1972.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 51

AN ACT to repeal AND RE-ENACT WITH AMENDMENTS Section
17.508 of the Howard County Code, Title "Public
Protection Services," subtitle "Dogs," to
[[delete from said title the Section stating]]
increasing the compensation of Dog Wardens.

Section 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL
OF HOWARD COUNTY MARYLAND, that Section 17.508 of the
Howard County Code, Title "Public Protection
Services," subtitle "Dogs," be and is hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendments to read as follows;

17.508 [[[ ]]Dog Wardens - Compensation

The dog wardens shall receive an annual salary of
not less than Four Thousand ($4,000.00) Dollars nor
more than [Five Thousand Two Hundred ($5,200.00) ]
SEVEN THOUSAND ($7,000) Dollars to be set by the
COUNTY EXECUTIVE. [[head of the Bureau of Inspection,
