property, and being passed by the affirmative vote of
five (5) members of the County Council, the same shall
take effect from the date it becomes law.

AN ORDINANCE to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Section 1-200.1 (f) of the Anne Arundel County
Code (1967 Edition and Supplements), Title 1,
"Administration", Subtitle 2, "Personnel",
Article I, "Exempt Service", to change the
employment conditions for employees in the exempt
service.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNTY COUNCIL
OF ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MARYLAND, That Section
1-200.1(f) of the Anne Arundel County Code (1967
Edition and Supplements), Title 1, "Administration",
Subtitle 2, "Personnel", Article I, "Exempt Service",
be, and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
Section 1—200.1
(f) Other employment conditions. Employees
occupying these positions are entitled to all
employment benefits that are applicable to classified
employees, except that sick leave policy shall be
administered on a basis of reasonable need [, and
annual leave shall be two weeks after completion of
the first year of continuous service and during each
calendar year thereafter, and three weeks each year
after five years of continuous service with the
county ].
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this
Ordinance shall take effect forty-five (45) days from
the date it becomes law.
