ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY

shall be operated unless the owner obtains from some
responsible insurance company authorized to transact
business in this state, a liability insurance policy
which insures the owner and operator against liability
to passengers or members of the general public for
property damage or personal injury (including death)
resulting from any accident or casualty in which the
taxicab becomes involved.

(b)    The minimum insurance to be taken out for
each taxicab shall be in the amounts for each accident
twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) for injury to
any one person and ten thousand dollars ($10,000) for
property damage.

(c)   Each cab owner shall present evidence of
adequate insurance to the Department of Inspections
and Permits before owner permits are issued or
renewed.

[[SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That upon
the adoption of additional sections of this Subtitle,
the Articles, Headings, Subsections or Sections of
this Ordinance may be re-numbered or rearranged to
establish an orderly numbering system for the entire
Subtitle, and to correct cross-references (provided
that no changes other than typographical corrections
may be made to the language or substance thereof) . ]]

SECTION 12-1351. PENALTY.

ANY___PERSON VIOLATING THE PROVISIONS___OF__THIS

SECTION SHALL BE ' GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR, AND, UPON

CONVICTION THEREOF, SHALL BE FINED NOT MORE___THAN ONE

THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000), OR IMPRISONED NOT MORE THAN
SIX (6) MONTHS, OR BOTH FINED AND IMPRISONED.

SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That in
accordance with the provisions of Section 21—301 of
the Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and
Supplements), Title 21, "General Provisions, Penalties
and Rules of Interpretation", Subtitle 3, "Rules of
Interpretation", the catchlines or section headings of
the several sections of this Ordinance are intended as
mere catchwords to indicate the contents of said
Section, and shall not be deemed or taken to be titles
of such Sections, nor as any part of said Section.

SECTION 6. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That if
