(22) In Section 501.0, strike the definitions
for "Habitable room" and "Habitable room, minimum
height" immediately below the definition for "Outer
court", and insert the following in lieu thereof, to
stand in the place and stead of the definitions so
stricken, and to read as follows:
"HABITABLE ROOM: A ROOM OR ENCLOSED FLOOR
SPACE ARRANGED FOR LIVING, EATING, AND SLEEPING
PURPOSES (NOT INCLUDING WATER CLOSET COMPARTMENTS,
LAUNDRIES, PANTRIES, FOYERS, HALLWAYS AND OTHER
ACCESSORY FLOOR SPACES).
"HABITABLE ROOM, MINIMUM HEIGHT: A CLEAR
HEIGHT FROM FINISHED FLOOR TO FINISHED CEILING OF NOT
LESS THAN SEVEN AND ONE-HALF FEET (7-1/2'), EXCEPT
THAT IN ATTICS AND TOP HALF STORIES, THE HEIGHT SHALL
NOT BE LESS THAN SEVEN AND ONE-THIRD FEET (7-1/31)
OVER NOT LESS THAN ONE-THIRD (1/3) THE AREA OF THE
FLOOR WHEN USED FOR SLEEPING, STUDY OR SIMILAR
ACTIVITY. THE MINIMUM CLEAR HEIGHT FROM FINISHED
FLOOR TO A SUSPENDED LUMINOUS CEILING MAY BE REDUCED
TO SEVEN AND ONE-QUARTER FEET (7-1/4')."
(23) Strike all of Subsection 606.22 and insert
new Subsection 606.22 in lieu thereof, to stand in the
place of the subsection so stricken, and to read as
follows:
"SUBSECTION 606.22 APPEAL FROM EXITWAY
ODDER: WITHIN THIRTY (30) DAYS OF THE DECISION OF THE
DIRECTOR OF INSPECTIONS AND PERMITS, ANY PERSON
AGGRIEVED THEREBY MAY FILE A NOTICE OF APPEAL WITH THE
COUNTY BOARD OF APPEALS PURSUANT TO ARTICLE 25A OF THE
ANNOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND, AND ARTICLE A VI OF THE
CHARTER OF ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY (AND ANY ORDINANCE,
RULES OH REGULATIONS ADOPTED PURSUANT THERETO)."
(24) Strike all of Subsection 611.3 and insert a
new Subsection 611.3 in lieu thereof, to stand in the
place of the subsection so stricken, and to read as
follows:
"SUBSECTION 611.3 BUILDINGS WITH ONE
EXITWAY: ONLY ONE EXITWAY CONSISTING OF AN INTERIOR
ENCLOSED STAIRWAY SHALL BE REQUIRED IN BUILDINGS OF
THE USE GROUP AND CHARACTERISTICS SPECIFIED:
