guests. This license for a club permits consumption on the premises only.

(3)  All alcoholic beverages, other than beer and light wine, sold or offered for
sale in Wicomico County, pursuant to the provisions of this or any other section or
sections, shall be purchased from the Wicomico County liquor control board, and
each bottle shall be stamped or otherwise designated "on sale only" by said board.

(4)  Also in Wicomico County there shall be a special Sunday license for those
bona fide clubs which already hold a Class C beer, wine and liquor license. Any
club without the payment of an additional fee may obtain as many as [four]
EIGHT special Sunday licenses during any calendar year, application for which
shall be made at least 14 days in advance to the board of license commissioners,
and the license shall be subject to the approval of the board and subject also to
other conditions, regulations and restrictions as established by the board, for the
consumption of such alcoholic beverages on the premises, only during or in
connection with meals, on Sunday between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
and at no other time.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act [[shall take
effect July 1, 1973.]] is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and
necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health and safety and
having been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of all the
members elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same
shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 171
(House Bill 1180)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 51(u) of Article 25 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1966 Replacement Volume and 1972
Supplement), title "County Commissioners," subtitle "County Treasurers," to
increase the salary of the County Treasurer of Cecil County from $6,500.00 to
$9,600.00.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF

MARYLAND, That Section 51(u) of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1966 Replacement Volume and 1972 Supplement), title "County
Commissioners," subtitle "County Treasurers," be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

51.

(u) The county treasurer of Cecil County shall receive a salary of [$6,500,001
$9,600.00.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall not be
construed to extend or apply to the salary of the treasurer in office on the effective
date of this Act, but the provisions of this Act concerning the salary of the
treasurer shall take effect at the beginning of the next following term of office.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.
