And be it further RESOLVED that this Resolution shall become effective on
the 46th day following its final enactment.

June 2, 1972

A special meeting of The Mayor and Council was held in the Mayor's Office on
the afternoon of June 2, 1972, at 4:00 p.m. Mayor Hahn; Council President
Conaway: Councilmen Babylon, Eckard, Riley and Wampler were present and
acted throughout.

On MOTION of Mr. Babylon, seconded by Mr. Eckard and unanimously
passed, Resolution No. 72-4 (Annexation No. 7) was adopted. The effective date of
annexation of the 81.877 tract shall be July 18, 1972.

RESOLUTION NO. R72-4

WHEREAS a Petition has been presented to the Mayor and Common Council
of the City of Westminster to enlarge the corporate boundaries of the City by the
annexation of a parcel of land containing 81.877 acres, more or less, situate and
lying contiguous to and adjoining the existing corporate boundaries of the City;
and

WHEREAS the Mayor and Common Council have caused to be made a
verification of the signature upon said petition and have ascertained that the
Mercantile-Safe Deposit and Trust Company, Substituted Trustee of the Estate of
W. Frank Thomas, is the sole owner of all of the land sought to be annexed and
that there are no registered voters residing within the area herein described;

IT IS RESOLVED THEREFORE, By the Mayor and Common Council of the
City of Westminster, that the following described parcel of land shall be annexed
to the City of Westminster and be and become a part thereof:

BEGINNING for the same at the point formed by the intersection of the
southeast side of Church Street, there laid out 50 feet wide, and the
southwesternmost corporate line of the City of Westminster as established in 1896,
said point having Maryland State Grid coordinates of North 630,976.07, East
802,142.45, said place of beginning being South 39 degrees 46 minutes 20 seconds
