2302                                     MUNICIPAL CHARTERS

Beginning at a concrete monument now planted on the east edge of the Hanover
and Reisterstown State Road and at the end of 500 feet on a line drawn North 26
1/4 degrees West, from a Marble Monument marked B.C.L. formerly planted on
the said east side of the said road opposite the intersection of the Baughman
Valley Road with the said Hanover and Reistertown State Road running thence,
(1) South 58 1/2 degrees West, 300 feet to a stake; (2) South 25 degrees East, 472
feet to a stake on the south edge of the Baughman Valley Road; (3) South 16 5/8
degrees East, 860 feet to a stake on the north edge of Danner's Lane; (4) South 35
5/8 degrees West, 1475 feet to a marble monument to be planted, and crossing the
Westminster State Road at the end of 1107 feet thereon and 42 feet westward from
the nearest culvert; (5) South 35 1/2 degrees East, 2137 feet to a stake and
crossing the present middle of New Street at the end of 1696 feet thereon; (6)
North 76 1/8 degrees East, 1063.5 feet to a Concrete Monument now planted on a
boundary line between Walter F. Brilhart and Thomas L. Miller and crossing the
middle of the Hanover and Reisterstown State Road at the end of 750 feet
thereon; (7) North 7 7/8 degrees West, 1540 feet to a point approximately 20 feet
inside the south-east edge of the Old Lutheran Cemetery; (8) North 60 1/4 degrees
East, 1584 feet to a Marble Monument formerly planted at the south-west corner
of the New Lutheran Cemetery; (9) North 49 1/4 degrees East, 814 feet to a point
17 feet southward from a concrete monument formerly planted and passing a
concrete monument at the end of 613 feet; (10) North 18 1/8 degrees East, 1175
feet to a Marble Monument to be planted at a corner of the Water Property; (11)
North 49 1/2 degrees West, 1000 feet to a monument to be planted in a woods;
(12) South 36 1/2 degrees West, 1572 feet to a stone formerly planted on the west
edge of Wilhelm's Land and the eastern-most corner of the Leese Lot; (13) South
52 1/4 degrees West, 1398 feet to a point in the High School Grounds at the end
of 36.5 feet on a line drawn North 15 3/8 degrees West from a concrete
monument formerly planted for a corner of the said High School Grounds; (14)
North 15 3/8 degrees West, 1000 feet to a stake; (15) North 34 1/4 degrees West,
898 feet to a stake; (16) South 58 1/2 degrees West, 200 feet to the beginning; as
will fully appear by reference to a plat and certificate of survey particularly
describing the boundaries of the said corporation duly filed with the Clerk of the
Circuit Court for Carroll County for recordation.

Annexation 1: "Effective February 22, 1966"

Beginning for a corner at a steel pin to be placed at the beginning of the
South 35 1/2 degrees East, 2137 foot line of the existing perimeter of the
Corporate Limits of the Town of Manchester; then with said line, (1) South 43
degrees 14 minutes 46 seconds East, 2137.00 feet to a point; then with a portion of
the next line of the present perimeter, (2) North 68 degrees 45 minutes 14 seconds
East, 749.69 feet to a point in the center of Maryland Route No. 30; then leaving
the present perimeter by all the following lines now established, (3) South 22
degrees 38 minutes 35 seconds East, 381.57 feet to a point in the center of
Maryland Route No. 30; then leaving said road and binding on the southern
perimeter of the lands of the Catholic Church Property (Archbishop Francis
Patrick Keough) the six following lines, (4) South 59 degrees 55 minutes 32
seconds West, 29.77 feet to an iron pipe; then continuing on the same line, South
59 degrees 55 minutes 32 seconds West, 249.36 feet to an iron pipe; then (5) South
25 degrees 43 minutes 52 seconds East, 361.95 feet to an iron pipe; then (6) South
70 degrees 30 minutes 53 seconds West, 618.29 feet to a large planted stone
marked "B"; then (7) North 05 degrees 38 minutes 43 seconds East, 130.83 feet to
an iron pipe; then (8) South 79 degrees 18 minutes 48 seconds West, 865.57 feet to
a steel pin; then (9) South 71 degrees 51 minutes 39 seconds West, 234.30 feet to a
steel pin; then leaving the outline of said property, (10) South 06 degrees 38
minutes 08 seconds West, 726.16 feet to a steel pin at the southeast property
corner of the lands of John C. Steger; then with the southern property line of
