CHARTER AMENDMENT RESOLUTION NO. 2-71

By this Resolution, the Mayor and Commissioners of the Town of Luke,
Maryland, passed and adopted at its third reading, the following addition to the
Town's Charter in accordance with the requirements as stated in the Annotated
Code of Maryland:

Addition to Section 28, Subsection 28A:
28A. (ABSENTEE VOTING)

THE COMMISSION SHALL ESTABLISH, BY ORDINANCE,
PROVISIONS FOR ABSENTEE VOTING BY ANY QUALIFIED VOTER
OF THE TOWN WHO, BY REASON FOR HIS PHYSICAL CONDITION
OR NECESSARY ABSENCE FROM THE TOWN IS UNABLE TO GO TO
THE POLLS ON A DAY ON WHICH A GENERAL OR SPECIAL
ELECTION IS TO BE HELD.

And be it further resolved, that on March 20, 1972, in regular session the
Council passed unanimously the above resolution.

CHARTER AMENDMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3-71

By this Resolution, the Mayor and Commissioners of the Town of Luke,
Maryland, passed and adopted at its third reading, the following addition of the
phrase "UNLESS CHANGED FOR CAUSE" to Section 6 of the Town's
Charter in accordance with the requirements as stated in the Annotated Code of
Maryland:

6. (Meeting of the Commission)

Members of the Commission shall have power to meet and adjourn from time
to time as they shall think proper, except that they shall meet at least twice in
every month, UNLESS CHANGED FOR CAUSE. The Mayor shall preside at
all their meetings, vote on all questions before them, and remain in office until
superseded by the election of a new Mayor. Special meetings shall be called by the
