shall be entered on such card or looseleaf page at least the name, age, color, sex,
occupation, and actual place of domicile in said town and the length of time
thereof, of such persons as may register; the person so registering and the officer
so registering him or her shall sign the registration card or looseleaf page; two
identical registration cards or looseleaf pages shall be prepared for each person
registering, and there shall be two separate registration books kept for each voting
place in said town, to be prepared and kept by said Election Supervisors at the
office of the Mayor and City Council of Laurel, thus acting as a Board of
Registration, and one card or looseleaf page of each registration shall be kept in
one of said registration books and the other card or looseleaf page of each
registration shall be kept in the other registration book; said registration books
shall be used on election days for all general and special elections of said town,
and all persons so registered therein shall be entitled to vote in said town elections,
and no person not registered therein shall be entitled to vote at such elections.]

(A)   BOARD OF REGISTRATION. THE BOARD OF REGISTRATION
SHALL CONSIST OF THE BOARD OF ELECTION SUPERVISORS AND
SUCH EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF LAUREL AS MAY BE REQUIRED
TO EFFECT THE REGISTRATION OF RESIDENTS OF LAUREL. THESE
EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF LAUREL SHALL BE DESIGNATED BY
THE MAYOR AND SHALL BE IDENTIFIED AS REGISTRARS WITH
FULL AUTHORITY TO REGISTER AS VOTERS, QUALIFIED
RESIDENTS OF THE CITY OF LAUREL IN THE SAME MANNER AS
THE BOARD OF ELECTION SUPERVISORS.

(B)  TIME OF REGISTRATION, GENERAL. QUALIFIED RESIDENTS
OF THE CITY OF LAUREL MAY REGISTER TO VOTE AT THE CITY
HALL OR SUCH OTHER LOCATION AS MAY BE DESIGNATED BY
THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL ON SUCH DAYS AND DURING
SUCH HOURS AS THE CITY OFFICES ARE NORMALLY OPEN FROM
JANUARY 1ST THROUGH THE CLOSE OF BUSINESS ON THE FRIDAY
PRECEDING THE LAST MONDAY IN FEBRUARY IN EVERY
EVEN-NUMBERED YEAR. HOWEVER, IN 1972, THE START OF
GENERAL REGISTRATION SHALL BE FEBRUARY 1, 1972.

(C)  REGISTRATION, SPECIAL. THE SUPERVISORS OF ELECTIONS,
ACTING FOR THE BOARD OF REGISTRATION, AND AFTER GIVING
NOTICE BY PUBLICATION IN AT LEAST ONE NEWSPAPER
PUBLISHED IN SAID CITY OF NOT LESS THAN EIGHT DAYS BEFORE
THE FIRST DAY OF REGISTRATION, THEY SHALL ATTEND AT SOME
PLACE OR PLACES IN SAID CITY TO BE SELECTED BY THE MAYOR
AND CITY COUNCIL AND STATED IN SAID NOTICE, ON THE
FOURTH MONDAY IN FEBRUARY, BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8:00
A.M. AND 7:00 P.M., AND ON THE TUESDAY AFTER THE FOLLOWING
MONDAY BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 7:00 P.M. AND 10:00 P.M., FOR
THE PURPOSE OF MAKING A SUPPLEMENTAL REGISTRATION AND
REVISION, EVERY EVEN-NUMBERED YEAR BEGINNING WITH THE
YEAR 1958.

(D)  PROCEDURE. THE BOARD OF REGISTRATIONS SHALL ENTER
THE NAMES OF SUCH PERSONS AS MAY REGISTER, IN
ACCORDANCE WITH LAW, ON CARDS OR LOOSELEAF PAGES,
WHICH SHALL FORTHWITH BE PLACED IN SUCH REGISTRATION
BOOKS AS SHALL BE PROVIDED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL; AND THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL SHALL BY
ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION PRESCRIBE THE FORM OF SUCH
CARD OR LOOSELEAF PAGE, PROVIDED THAT THERE SHALL BE
ENTERED ON SUCH CARD OR LOOSELEAF PAGE AT LEAST THE
