AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this Resolution shall become
effective forty five (45) days after its adoption unless within the forty five (45) day
period following its adoption a proper petition for referendum has been filed with
the Mayor.

RESOLUTION NO. 72-R-14
A Resolution of the City of College Park adopted pursuant to the authority of
Article 23A, titled Corporations - Municipal, subtitled Section 19, Annexation,
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition as amended) to amend
Article III, titled Boundaries, Section 3, subtitled Corporate Limits and
Boundaries, of the Charter of the City of College Park.
WHEREAS, The Mayor and City Council of the City of College Park have
received a petition requesting annexation to the City of College Park, and
WHEREAS, The petition has been found to be in compliance with the
provisions of Section 19, Article 23A, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That Article III, titled Boundaries,
Section 3, subtitled Corporate Limits and Boundaries, of the Charter of the City of
College Park be amended by adding:
The corporate boundaries of the City of College Park shall be enlarged to
include the hereinafter described tracts of ground, and the persons residing in the
area and their property shall and they are hereby added to the corporate
boundaries of the City of College Park. The area annexed and the inhabitants
thereof shall from and after the effective date of this Resolution be subject to the
powers and jurisdiction of the Mayor and City Council and shall be taken and
considered as a part of the Municipal Corporation of College Park, Maryland; all
of the provisions of the laws of the State of Maryland applicable to the City of
College Park now in force or hereinafter enacted or any ordinance of the City of
College Park now in force or which may hereinafter be enacted and all existing
and future ordinances of the City of College Park shall be extended and made
applicable to the annexed area and to the persons residing therein, and the persons
residing in the area and their property shall be subject to the provisions of the
Charter of the City of College Park, Maryland.
Being Lots 1 through 19, inclusive, Block 'A'; Lots 1 and 2, Block 'B'; all of
Latvian Lane and all that part of DePauw Place as shown on a plat of subdivision
entitled "The Village" and recorded among the Land Records of Prince George's
County, Maryland in Plat Book WWW 65 as Plat No. 55, and being more
particularly described as follows:
