RESOLUTION NO. 72-R-13

A Resolution of the City of College Park adopted pursuant to the authority of
Article 23A, Titled Corporations - Municipal, subtitled Section 19, Annexation,
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition as amended) to amend
Article III, titled Boundaries, Section 3, subtitled Corporate Limits and
Boundaries, of the Charter of the City of College Park.

WHEREAS, The Mayor and City Council of the City of College Park have
received a petition requesting annexation to the City of College Park, and

WHEREAS, The petition has been found to be in compliance with the
provisions of Section 19, Article 23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That Article III, titled Boundaries,
Section 3, subtitled Corporate Limits and Boundaries, of the Charter of the City of
College Park be amended by adding:

The corporate boundaries of the City of College Park shall be enlarged to
include the hereinafter described tracts of ground, and the persons residing in the
area and their property shall and they are hereby added to the corporate
boundaries of the City of College Park. The area annexed and the inhabitants
thereof shall from and after the effective date of this Resolution be subject to the
powers and jurisdiction of the Mayor and City Council and shall be taken and
considered as a part of the Municipal Corporation of College Park, Maryland; all
of the provisions of the laws of the State of Maryland applicable to the City of
College Park now in force or hereinafter enacted or any ordinance of the City of
College Park now in force or which may hereinafter be enacted and all existing
and future ordinances of the City of College Park shall be extended and made
applicable to the annexed area and to the persons residing therein, and the persons
residing in the area and their property shall be subject to the provisions of the
Charter of the City of College Park, Maryland.

Being lots 1 through 18, inclusive, Block 1 and Patricia Court as shown on a
plat of subdivision entitled "University View" and recorded among the Land
Records of Prince George's County, Maryland in Plat Book WWW 39 as Plat No.
99 and being more particularly described as follows:

Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 10, Block 1 as shown on the aforesaid
plat and running thence with the existing boundary of the City of College Park in
a westerly direction to the southwest corner of Lot 9, Block 1 as shown on the
aforesaid plat, thence leaving the aforesaid City boundary line and running with
the westerly line of the aforesaid Block 1, University View in a northerly direction
to the northwest corner of the aforesaid Lot 1, Block 1; thence running with the
southerly line of Metzerott Road as shown on the aforesaid plat, in an easterly
direction to the northeast corner of Lot 18, Block 1, as shown on the aforesaid
plat; thence leaving Metzerott Road and running with the easterly line of the
aforesaid Block 1, University View, in a southerly direction, to the point of
beginning; containing 3.9 acres more or less.
