1942                                            CERTIFICATIONS

an Act known as Chapter 370 of the Acts of 1972 was submitted to the voters of
the State of Maryland under the provisions of Article XIV of the Constitution of
the State of Maryland, said Act being as follows:

AN ACT to propose certain amendments to the Constitution of Maryland by
repealing and re-enacting, with amendments. Section 1 of Article 17, title
"Quadrennial Elections," EXEMPTING MEMBERS OF ANY ELECTIVE
LOCAL BOARD OF EDUCATION SUBJECT TO POPULAR ELECTION
FROM SECTIONS 1, 2, 3, 4, AND 11 OF THIS ARTICLE, and submitting this
amendment to the qualified voters of the State for adoption or rejection.

AND IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that at said election, 538,700 votes were
cast for the adoption of said Chapter 370 and 226,365 votes were cast against the
adoption of said Chapter 370, the said Chapter 370 of the Acts of 1972 has
therefore been ratified by the duly qualified voters of the State of Maryland.

GIVEN Under my hand and the Seal of the State Administrative Board of
Election Laws of the State of Maryland, Done at the City of Annapolis, this 30th
day of November, In the Year of Our Lord, One Thousand, Nine Hundred and
Seventy-two.

1972, CHAPTER 371 - Publication of Laws in Charter Counties

STATE ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD OF ELECTION LAWS
ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 23-11 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland, the State Administrative Board of Election Laws does hereby certify
that at the General Election held in the State of Maryland on November 7, 1972,
an Act known as Chapter 371 of the Acts of 1972 was submitted to the voters of
the State of Maryland under the provisions of Article XIV of the Constitution of
the State of Maryland, said Act being as follows:

AN ACT to propose an amendment to Section 3 of Article XI-A of the
Constitution of Maryland, title "Local Legislation," to provide for the publication
of the titles or of a summary of all laws, EXCEPT FOR EMERGENCY
LEGISLATION, and ordinances proposed for enactment in a charter county,
clarifying the provisions of this Section concerning the Chief Executive Officer of
the County Council, correcting an error therein, clarifying the provisions of this
Section as to their application in Baltimore City, and providing for the submission
of this amendment to the qualified voters of the State of Maryland for their
adoption or rejection.

AND IT IS HEREBY CERTIFIED that at said election, 566,121 votes were
cast for the adoption of said Chapter 371 and 179,079 votes were cast against the
adoption of said Chapter 371, the said Chapter 371 of the Acts of 1972 has
therefore been ratified by the duly qualified voters of the State of Maryland.
