(b) The Board shall meet annually in the month of May and shall elect from its
members a president and a secretary who shall also be the treasurer. It shall hold
such other meetings during the year as are deemed necessary to transact its
business or as requested by the Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene. [A
majority] FIVE MEMBERS of the Board including one officer shall constitute a
quorum at any meeting. The secretary-treasurer of the Board shall keep a record
of all its meetings and a register of the names of all nurses licensed under this
subtitle which shall be open to public inspection with adequate restrictions for its
safekeeping. He shall give bond in the sum of two thousand dollars to the State
AND SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR COLLECTING ANY FUNDS OF
THE BOARD, and shall also be responsible for certifying the expenses of the
members to the State for reimbursement. All moneys collected by the Board shall
be paid over to the State Treasurer, and shall become general funds of the State.
Such moneys shall thereafter be disbursed by the Comptroller only pursuant to an
appropriation made in accordance with Sections 32 and 52 of Article 3 of the
Constitution or pursuant to the provisions of Sections 1 through 15, inclusive, of
Article 15A of this Code, title "Budget and Procurement," as amended from time
to time.
(E) ANYTHING IN THIS SUBTITLE TO THE CONTRARY
NOTWITHSTANDING, THE LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE MEMBERS
OF THE BOARD HAVE THE POWER TO VOTE UPON OR OTHERWISE
ACT ONLY UPON MATTERS INVOLVING PRACTICAL NURSING AND
PRACTICAL NURSES.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

(House Bill 52)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 82(e) of Article 100 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1972 Supplement), title "Work, Labor and
Employment," subtitle "Wage and Hour Law," renumbering subsections and
including domestic workers under the coverage of the Maryland Wage and
Hour Law.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 82(e) of Article 100 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1972 Supplement), title "Work, Labor, and Employment," subtitle
"Wage and Hour Law," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

(e) "Employee" includes any individual employed by an employer but shall not
include:
(1) Any individual employed in agriculture;
