1746                                     LAWS OF MARYLAND                                 Ch. 854

sale to purchase a certain type of on or off sale license for a. certain fee: to
change the residency and vote requirements for alcoholic beverage licenses in
Harford County; to allow suspension or revocation of an alcoholic beverage
license by the Harford County Liquor Control Board when the licensee is
convicted in federal or. State court of a felony; to allow licensees in Harford
County to remain open [[from Saturday midnight to one o'clock A.M.
Sunday]] on Monday through Thursday between a. certain time, on Friday to
Saturday between a certain time, and on Saturday to Sunday on a certain time;
to raise the amount of money the Liquor Control Board of Harford County can
borrow and to [[provide]] eliminate the limitation for repayment of such
money at [[the legal prevailing]] a certain rate of interest; to allow proceeds
from dispensaries in Harford County to be distributed to Harford County
instead of the Harford County metropolitan commission; to allow for persons
under 18 years of age or older to be employed by licensees for general
employment and selling and serving alcoholic beverages by adding a new
subsection; [[and]] to repeal the provision requiring the "glass window rule" in
premises licensed to sell alcoholic beverages in Harford County and generally
relating to certain changes in the alcoholic beverages laws pertaining to Harford
County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 13(h) 14(g)(1), 14(g)(2), 19(f-2)(3), 57(g), 69(e), 99,
160(b), 160(c) and 165(c) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968
Replacement Volume and 1972 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitles
"Beer and Light Wine Licenses," "Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses," "Application
for License," "Revocation and Suspension of Licenses," "Hours and Days for
Sale," and "County Liquor Control Boards and Dispensaries," be and they are
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and that [[Section ]] Sections
14(g)(4), 19(f-2)(5) and 126(e) be and it is hereby added to the same Article and
title, [[subtitle]] subtitles "Beer and Light Wine Licenses," "Beer, Wine and
Liquor Licenses." and "Restrictions upon Licensees," to follow immediately after
[[Section]] Sections 14(g)(3), 19(f-2)(4), and 126(d), and that Section 116(b) of
the same Article and title, subtitle "Restrictions upon Licensees," be and it is
hereby repealed thereof, and all to read as follows:

13.

(h) In Harford County the annual license fee for such license shall be
seventy-five dollars ($75.00) and shall be granted by the liquor control board of
Harford County only to proprietors of bona fide retail stores selling food, drugs or
other similar commodities as designated by the liquor control board. Such license
will authorize the licensee to sell for consumption off the premises only, not less
than six bottles or cans of brewed beverages as defined in this Article, and not less
than one fifth of a gallon of fermented beverages as defined herein: provided that
brewed beverages sold in bottles or cans exceeding 12 ounces in weight or size, for
consumption off the premises, may be sold in a numerical quantity of less than six.
No brewed beverages shall be authorized to contain more than six per centum of
alcohol by volume and wine and other fermented beverages shall not contain more
than fourteen per centum by volume. The word "Premises" for the purpose of this
section shall be construed to include any building, parking lot, terrace or grounds
which form an integral part of the licensed premises. THE HOLDER OF A
LICENSE HEREUNDER ALSO MAY PURCHASE A SPECIAL SUNDAY
OFF SALE ONLY LICENSE UPON PAYMENT OF AN ADDITIONAL FEE
OF SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($75.00).
