compensation of forty dollars ($40.00) per day for each election day. In Prince
George's County, judges shall be paid [[for each precinct]] at the rate of [fifty]
SEVENTY-FIVE dollars [($50.00)] ($75.00) per day for two chief judges and
[thirty-five] FIFTY dollars [($35.00)] ($50.00) per day for judges, for each
election day actually served.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

CHAPTER 822
(House Bill 972)
AN ACT to add new Section 3(ee) to Article 25 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1966 Replacement Volume and 1971 Supplement), title "County
Commissioners," subtitle "General Provisions," to follow immediately after
Section 3(dd) thereof; and to add new Section 206 to Article 2B of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Replacement Volume), title "Alcoholic
Beverages," to follow immediately after Section 205 thereof, and to be under
the new subtitle "Alcoholic Beverages in Talbot County," to provide that the
County Commissioners of Talbot County shall regulate the [[manufacture,])
retail sale [[, distribution, transportation and storage]] of alcoholic beverages
within Talbot County and that the provisions of the Code of Public General
Laws of Maryland regulating the [[manufacture,]] retail sale [[, distribution,
transportation and storage]] of alcoholic beverages presently in effect shall
remain in effect unless and until contrary legislation is enacted by the Talbot
County Commissioners.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 3(ee) be and it is hereby added to Article 25 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1966 Replacement Volume and 1971
Supplement), title "County Commissioners," subtitle "General Provisions," to
follow immediately after Section 3(dd) thereof; and that new Section 206 be and it
is hereby added to Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968
Replacement Volume), title "Alcoholic Beverages," to follow immediately after
Section 205 thereof, and to be under the new subtitle "Alcoholic Beverages in
Talbot County," all to read as follows:
ARTICLE 25
3.
(EE) (1) THE TALBOT COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SHALL
REGULATE THE [[MANUFACTURE,]] RETAIL SALE [[,
DISTRIBUTION, TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE]] OF
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES WITHIN TALBOT COUNTY.
(2) ANY LAW ENACTED BY THE TALBOT COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS PURSUANT TO THIS SECTION SHALL PREVAIL
OVER ANY PROVISION OF THE CODE OF PUBLIC GENERAL LAWS
OF MARYLAND REGULATING THE [[MANUFACTURE,]] RETAIL
