(f) To suspend or revoke, after a hearing, the license of any person licensed
under the provisions of this subtitle OR TO CENSURE OR PLACE ON
PROBATION, AFTER A HEARING, ANY PERSON LICENSED UNDER
THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBTITLE who has been convicted of violating
any of the provisions of this subtitle or of any unlawful or fraudulent practices, or
fraudulent, misleading or deceptive representations or advertising as respects his
professional qualifications or the quality of the materials, drugs, etc., used by him
in his professional work or treatment of animals, or has been found guilty of a
crime or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude[[;]] OR WHO, AFTER A
HEARING, IS DETERMINED BY FOUR MEMBERS OF THE BOARD TO
BE INCOMPETENT AS A VETERINARY PRACTITIONER.

(g) To engage [such] WHATEVER additional employees for professional,
clerical and special work as may be necessary and as may be provided in the
budget.

(h) To subpoena witnesses, to take the testimony of witnesses, to require the
production by witnesses of books, papers, public records, and other documentary
evidence and to examine them as it may require in relation to any matter which it
has authority to investigate, inquire into, or hear.

(I) TO INSPECT EVERY VETERINARY HOSPITAL FACILITY IN
THE STATE AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR.

152A.

The [State] Board shall have the power to prescribe, according to this
subtitle, reasonable standards [of conduct and ethics I for the practice of veterinary
medicine, INCLUDING CONDUCT AND ETHICS and this power includes the
authority to refuse, suspend, or revoke any application or any [[certificate]]
LICENSE if the veterinarian:

(a)   Has been adjudicated insane.

(b)     Has been convicted of a violation of any [f] Federal or State law
relating to narcotic drugs.

(c)   Has been convicted of a felony, or of a crime involving moral turpitude.

(D) HAS RECEIVED AN ADVERSE DECISION IN A CIVIL
MALPRACTICE CASE INVOLVING GROSS PERSONAL NEGLIGENCE.

[(d)] (e) Has obtained the [certificate] LICENSE to practice by fraud or
misrepresentation, either in the application [thereof], or in passing the
examination [thereof].

[(e)] (f) Has been guilty of employing or permitting to practice veterinary
medicine any person, who does not hold a LICENSE OR TEMPORARY
PERMIT TO PRACTICE VETERINARY MEDICINE IN THIS STATE.

[(f) Violates any of the following requirements or limitations on advertising.

(1) Appointment cards may be issued if the information therein is limited to
matter pertaining to the time and place of appointment, and that permitted on the
professional card. A professional card shall contain only the name of the licensee,
the institution, if any, the professional title or degree, address, office hours, and
telephone number.
